The Belle of the Ball

I had an AMAZING time at the post-grad ball with Paul last night! I didn't know anyone there, but I met some great people and even got some nice comments about my dress!

All of the post graduate students at the University of Surrey were invited to this evening of dancing, eating, and gambling (not with real money, just chips).

The jazz band was really good, and I spent most of the time out on the dance floor or mingling with new acquaintances. The James Bond theme was present all around the room, with red lighting and mini squirt guns at each table.

At midnight, the hotel moved us to the upstairs restaurant where we spent some time before heading back to the flat.

Bree, You are my living "storybook Princess"dream....the great work you did at the British Museum of Art...the great friend "Paul" who was so hospitable and kind to show you many of the great sites of London and surrounding territory..incidentally I of similar age and sort of status{oldest}tho not royalty...do hereby dub him "Sir Paul" and a huge "thank you" to him and to all the relatives and friends he had you encounter....it is obvious that you were welcomed by all with open arms. The Ball was, in my heart, perhaps the hilite, But a "Sir Brad" came in the day before....not on a white horse...but a great jet that flew him in from the great U.S.A. to bring you ...not a glass slipper but a sparkling something else to be placed on your third finger....what a perfect ending,in a sense......but really only the beginning of a great deal of happiness for you and Brad in the years ahead...love you with all my heart...and you will have special memories of these past nine weeks to last a lifetime...God be with you both now and forever..GrandmaP.
